Kindergarten Update                         October 20 – 24

002Religion

The children will see how Jesus cared for and helped others.

Math

To use ordinal numbers first through tenth to identify position; to count on and count back on a number line.

Reading

We will be reading Life in an Ocean by Carol Lindeen. Comprehension Skill: Compare and contrast. We will work on the recognition and formation of the letter Aa and identify its initial, middle and final sound. High Frequency Words: have, is . Please practice at home.

Science

Continue to explore how living things change and grow, e.g., seed to flowering plant, tadpole to frog.

 

A letter is in your child’s folder regarding the school’s new online grading program, My Students Progress (MSP).

Please send in a rectangular shape box of baby wipes. It is easier for the children to use to wipe their hands than the circular containers. Thank you.

Wednesday

Return signed Communication Envelope.
8th Grade will have a “Bake Sale” at lunch today. The cost is 50 cents for a baked good.

Thursday

Students may wear something “Pink” over their school uniform in support of cancer awareness. Students may bring in a monetary donation for Gilda’s Club.

Show & Tell with the letter Aa. Please have your child bring in something that begins with the letter A.

Friday

Music Class; Pretzel money for November is due, $5.61.
