Kindergarten Program Overview


Weekly Update                                       March 20, 2017

We will be continuing last week’s lessons due to the shortened week.

Religion

We will continue to learn about the Trinity and the Feast Day of St. Joseph.

Math

Continue to practice making groups of tens and ones to create two-digit numbers.

Reading

We will be reading Max Takes the Train by Rosemary Wells. Comprehension Skill:  Realism and Fantasy. We will work on the recognition and formation of the letters Jj and Ww and identify their initial sounds.
High Frequency words: yellow, blue, green. (Please practice at home.)

Science

Rainbow in a jar – introduce density by explaining that different liquids have different weights.

For Kindergarten’s Lenten Service Project, please send in a pack of juice boxes by Monday, March 27th for the Aid for Friends program.  The school will be making breakfast bags for the elderly homebound people in our area.  Thank you for your support!
