God, Scholarship, Community, Service

Mr. Mark Urmson

This is my fifth year teaching at Good Shepherd Catholic School. I have been involved in the arts since I myself was in elementary school with after school art club at St Helena’s and a SmArt (Saturday Morning art) club at J. W. Hallahan along with lessons in music. I am a proud graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and Chestnut Hill College. I received my Bachelors of Science in Music Education.

I am very proud and grateful to continue at Good Shepherd, especially now that I teach both Art and Music and am living my dream as a Fine Arts teacher at such a stellar school. As the French writer Stendhal once said “The shepherd always tries to persuade the sheep that their interests and his own are the same”; I am confident that GSC will always have an “interest” and “place” for the arts!
