Mrs. Barbara Myers
My name is Mrs. Barbara Myers and I have been teaching for 17 years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I taught fourth and second grade at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Andorra, Pennsylvania. This is my third year teaching preschool, but my first year teaching at Good Shepherd Catholic School, and I am in awe of the dedication to Education and the devotion to Catholicism of teachers, students, and parents!
Both my husband and myself are a product of Catholic school education, and this is one of the many reasons why we are sending our two boys to Catholic school. Last year was my son Matthew’s first year at Good Shepherd, and it was an amazing experience both for us as parents and Matthew as a student. This year I had an opportunity to make a crossover from parent to teacher, and I took it! I look forward to the challenge of living up to the loyal teachers at Good Shepherd.
I grew up in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania and attended Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. Once I came to Philadelphia, I was hooked on “The City of Brotherly Love!” A few of my favorite things are Fall, football, Notre Dame, and reading children’s books.
I am a dedicated teacher who is committed to creating a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to students. I love seeing how every child grows and develops throughout the school year! I am thrilled to teach the Prekindergarten 4 year olds and excited to see how the year unfolds.
