Mrs. Jenna Clewell
My name is Mrs. Jenna Clewell and I am very excited to be teaching 7th grade this year.
Previously, I have taught 6th grade here at Good Shepherd and at St. John of the Cross. I began my career in 1999 teaching first grade at Our Lady of Hope in North Philadelphia. I also taught fourth grade at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy. Over the years, I found that my home is at the junior high level. I take very seriously the job of preparing these students for high school and beyond. It can be challenging, but immensely rewarding. I am a “Science Nerd” with a passion for sharing Science with my students. I find creative ways to engage my students in Science hoping they too will identify as a Science Nerd with a life-long desire to continue their scientific explorations.
I am a graduate of St. John of the Cross and Bishop McDevitt High School. I received my degree in Special Education/Elementary Education from Arcadia University where I graduated with departmental honors and hold my certification in Elementary Education. Outside of the classroom, I spent many years playing sports, and I continue that enthusiasm for competition by helping coach the varsity CYO softball team. My husband, Chris, and I also spend countless hours watching our children play sports now. My son, Nicholas, is a graduate of Good Shepherd, class of 2014. He is now a freshman at Bishop McDevitt. My daughter, Sammi, is in first grade here at Good Shepherd.
As a lifelong member of this community, I am proud to call Good Shepherd my home and my children’s home.
