What is it and how does it work?
You purchase one or more chances at $20 each to win a ca$h prize.
For each $20 purchase, we will assign you a numbered golf ball.
During the school day on Friday, October 23,
Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1 will bring their Tower 88 Ladder truck to GSC
and will lift up Principal Sister Helen Thomas (in the bucket) with all of the golf balls
over a target on the field in the front of school, across from Queen of Peace Rectory.
Sister Helen will drop all of the balls from that height, and the "owner" of
the ball that lands closest to the golf flagstick on the ground wins a ca$h prize!
Depending on the number of balls we sell,
there could be multiple winners (see PRIZE$ section below).
If weather conditions prohibit us from holding the Golf Ball Drop on Friday,
October 23, then we will reschedule it for a school day during the following week.
You can purchases your chance(s) to win below or by dropping off your payment
at school (cash or a check made payable to Good Shepherd Catholic School)

We expect to sell chances for at least 100 golf balls,
and the winner will take home a $500 cash prize!
If we sell at least 150 chances/balls,
we will have a $500 first place winner and a second place winner of $250!
Once 200 Balls are Sold = $750 for first place and $250 for second place.
250 Balls Sold = $1,000 for first place and $500 for second place.
300 Balls Sold = $1,250 for first place, $500 for second place,
and a third place winner of $250!
350 (or more) Balls Sold = $1,500 for first place, $500 for second,
and $250 for third place!
If it is determined that there is a "tie" between two or more balls in the first (one winner) category
(100-149 chances sold), then we will put those balls in a container and draw a winner.
If there is a tie between two balls when 150+ are sold, depending on the place(s),
then the prize money for the affected place(s) will be combined and split between the two balls –
for example, between first and second or second and third places –
or – if the tie is for third place – the balls will be put in the container to pick a winner.
If there are multiple balls involved in a tie when 150+ are sold, then the random drawing scenario will be utilized.
By purchasing a chance, all participants agree that the fundraiser organizers present during the Golf Ball Drop
will use their best judgment to determine the winner(s) and that their decisions are fair and final.
We will have different gift cards available as consolation prizes, if needed.
