The Turkey Trot will be held in the Queen of Peace Church Parking Lot on Sunday, November 14. We will use the lot on the Fitzwatertown Road side of the Church. You may park in the school yard for the Turkey Trot. From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. there will be music, games, walking and snacks. We hope you will make it a family event! If you cannot walk, please bring a chair and cheer on our walkers. Father Aloysius will be walking with us to help raise money for GSC. Father serves here at Queen of Peace on the weekends. We are grateful to Father Aloysius and Father Larry for their support.
The proceeds from the Turkey Trot will stay in the school. All of the students will benefit from this Fundraiser for GSC projects and improvements. Our first major project to complete is the school's new STEAM Lab, which is almost ready. We just need to purchase a few things for the 3D printer and programs for the computers. The second major school improvement in the works is our expanded Media Center, which is in the former library and is ahead of schedule. I would like to see it ready to use by the second half of this school year. Our initial goal was for next September, but we are ahead of our projected schedule.
Along with the games on Sunday, we will have prizes, including one for the Best Dressed Turkey.
Thank you for supporting GSC!
